Dec 13, 2012 Teaching Leads to Meaningful Actions…
In the spring of 1993 we first visited Grace with our son, Harry, who was a student at Belmont. We were very impressed with the enthusiasm of the little group. But we were even more stirred by the sermon. We moved here in 1997. The personal warmth of the worshipers was inspiring. Then in April of 1998, Harriet had the first of 5 surgeries over the next 5 years. The first one was an emergency situation. We had no time to prepare for the inconvenience that surgery always brings. Harry told us not to worry. The love of Grace started rolling in immediately. Starting the first day home from the hospital, the meals started coming every other day for two weeks. Each meal was enough for at least four days. This was the pattern for all five surgeries. We have been blessed to pay this forward many times. It is through actions like this that God uses GCC. Not only do we get excellent, solid, biblical preaching and teaching but the teaching is put to practical, meaningful actions.
