Children’s Ministry

The purpose of children’s ministry at Grace is to partner with parents in laying a foundation for the salvation and the building up of spiritually healthy young people for life and ministry in the world.

Our primary emphasis during this time is training up children in the word of God. Classes are offered for Infants-5th Grade during both services. View class descriptions.

Our desire is to include all children in worship and Sunday School with peers their own age, as an essential part of the Body of Christ. We have a trained team of Grace Partners ready to assist any children and youth in our classes who need special attention. We want to partner with children, families, and our teachers to train up all children in the word of God and to come alongside families who are facing challenges. If you have a child or youth that we can assist, or if you would like to be involved with our team of Grace Partners, contact Jason Miller, Pastor of Children & Families.

CentriKid is a 5 day, 4 night camp geared toward campers learning more about the message of Jesus Christ while having the time of their lives! Camp is at Linden Valley Conference Center, Linden TN, for students who will have completed 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade by July 15, 2022.

Your child should remain at home or outside of the classroom if he/she is experiencing the following symptoms:

• fever (within the last 24 hours)
• vomiting and/or diarrhea (within the last 24 hours)
• unexplained rash
• pink eye or other eye infections
• persistent cough
• chicken pox
• lice
• COVID-19 related symptoms, or close contact with a COVID positive person in the last 14 days

A runny nose by itself does not warrant keeping a child out of the room. However, if it is accompanied by any of the above symptoms, the child should not be checked in.

If you have any questions please contact Jason Miller.

Mask-Required Worship Service in the Chapel – 10:30am

We invite everyone who desires a mask-required, distanced space for worship to join us in the Chapel, where the Worship Service will be simulcast. The portico door, under the covered drive-thru, will allow entry to the Chapel without passing through the main Gathering Hall.

Masks Required for Nursery Care Volunteers – 10:30am

To best serve children and families at Grace during the Worship Service, all childcare volunteers will wear a mask while serving in the nursery during the 10:30am hour.

Health Practices

During this season of increased COVID cases in our community, we ask everyone to take special care when attending Grace on Sunday mornings or a Grace event during the week.

Specifically, follow the guidance for when to stay away from public gatherings following a COVID exposure or diagnosis. These specifics can be found here.

Exposure Notifications

Grace will notify parents of children and youth in classrooms where a known COVID exposure occurs, to the best of our knowledge, while maintaining confidentiality. If your child or student tests positive for COVID in the days after attending a Grace event, please contact Jason Miller or Josh Hussung so we can alert other families impacted.

Because we recognize that we are a reflection of God’s love to those in our care, we take seriously our responsibility to provide a safe environment for the children who attend Grace Community Church. This includes a Child Protection Policy, under which screening of all teachers and workers takes place. For more information, read and listen to these two discussions about our safety policies and procedures: Member Information Meeting 2016 | Podcast from 2015 | Member Information Meeting 2013  | Policies & Procedures – Children’s Ministry of Grace Community Church.

Child Pickup Authorization Forms available here.

If you would like to volunteer to work with the children at Grace, and have been a member for at least six months, please fill out the Children’s Ministry Volunteer Application.

Some special activities offered during the year include Vacation Bible School, family dedications, baptism classes, and parenting seminars.
