Aug 15, 2014 Words of Grace – Leaders and Congregations
The one reason for leaders to lead in congregations and for congregations to follow leaders is endurance in faith and faithfulness to Jesus Christ.
Jesus is supreme. All things are for his glory and the service of his purposes. God has designed congregations to have leaders – and leaders to serve congregations – for Jesus’ sake. Leaders and congregations live and relate together for the purpose of running with endurance the race of faith and faithfulness to Jesus.
This Sunday, we will consider the relationship between leaders and congregations from Hebrews 13:7,17-19. This passage brings into focus how and why God designed the church the way he did. We will be encouraged and instructed to live together for enduring faith and the glory of Jesus Christ.
