Dec 20, 2012 Never Cease to Praise…
For those at Grace, these words from the song “Never Cease to Praise” are probably very familiar:
“May the words we share be Your grace and peace, may our tongues speak Your proclamations
That the many parts of the body of Christ be affirmed in their right relation.
As we long and wait for the groom to come, may we learn to love, and spur each other on.
May our hearts be so consumed by You that we never cease to praise.”
I specifically remember the Sunday that these words penetrated my heart. Tears rolled down my face and I thought, “I have to do something to begin to move toward ‘right relation’ in my life”. After a long season of fighting hurtful family relationships, previous negative church experiences, and work relationships, I made a decision to release the load I had been carrying. I chose to believe that the gospel being preached week in and week out at Grace through scriptures and song was for my good and to apply it. I started counseling and plugged into John Kramp’s Explore the Bible Sunday school class. I have been blessed by an amazing community that has walked the week-to-week journey of life.
