Children’s Ministry

The purpose of children’s ministry at Grace is to partner with parents in laying a foundation for the salvation and the building up of spiritually healthy young people for ministry in the world.

CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

Our primary emphasis during this time is training up children in the word of God. Classes are offered for Infants-5th Grade during both services. View class descriptions.

KIDS D-GROUPS

This programming runs alongside Youth D-Groups, Parent Community Groups, and K-2nd Childcare. An optional pizza dinner for everyone is available at 5:30pm, with groups beginning at 6:00pm. Learn more here.

GRACE PARTNERS: WELCOMING PEOPLE OF ALL ABILITIES

Our desire is to include all children in worship and Sunday School with peers their own age, as an essential part of the Body of Christ. We have a trained team of Grace Partners ready to assist any children and youth in our classes who need special attention. We want to partner with children, families, and our teachers to train up all children in the word of God and to come alongside families who are facing challenges. If you have a child or youth that we can assist, or if you would like to be involved with our team of Grace Partners, contact Jason Miller, Pastor of Children & Families.

HEALTH AND HYGIENE

Your child should remain at home or outside of the classroom if he/she is experiencing the following symptoms:

• fever (within the last 24 hours)
• vomiting and/or diarrhea (within the last 24 hours)
• unexplained rash
• pink eye or other eye infections
• persistent cough
• chicken pox
• lice
• COVID-19 related symptoms, or close contact with someone who has COVID. Please refer to the current guidelines for when you test positive and for a COVID exposure.

A runny nose by itself does not warrant keeping a child out of the room. However, if it is accompanied by any of the above symptoms, the child should not be checked in.

If you have any questions please contact Jason Miller.

SAFETY EMPHASIS

Because we recognize that we are a reflection of God’s love to those in our care, we take seriously our responsibility to provide a safe environment for the children who attend Grace Community Church. This includes a Child Protection Policy, under which screening of all teachers and workers takes place. For more information, read and listen to these two discussions about our safety policies and procedures: Member Information Meeting 2016 | Podcast from 2015 | Member Information Meeting 2013  | Policies & Procedures – Children’s Ministry of Grace Community Church.

Child Pickup Authorization Forms available here.
