Aug 23, 2026 Boasting in The Cross of Jesus Christ – Galatians 6:11-18 – August 23rd, 2026
It is hard to imagine how Paul could say more about how utterly powerless human achievements are for justification before God, and how effectual the cross of Jesus Christ is to make us right with God. He says it all here. Human merit counts for nothing before God. The cross of Christ is the only sufficient merit for our salvation. Here at the end of Galatians, if we are still clinging to our goodness, this passage will strip us bear. And if we are aware that we need a Savior, this passage offers us Christ who died for our sins to give us everything.
Grace Community Church exists to build spiritually healthy people for ministry in the world.
