Missions & Mercy Support at Grace

Purpose of Missions at Grace

Grace Community Church believes the primary need of humanity is to be reconciled to God.  Our primary focus as a congregation is evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and work related to these things.  We also believe that Christians and congregations can serve the needs of people and support organizations that do work in other areas of biblical, moral, and benevolence concerns. Grace may support organizations doing work in these areas.

Distinctives of Missions Supported by Grace

Grace Community Church aims to be an effective steward of the resources that God has provided to us. The four areas mentioned below provide an overview of the important distinctions by which Grace Community Church evaluates its relationship with its existing and potential new partners:

Message Clarity

Grace supports organizations and individuals that demonstrate clear and biblical doctrinal convictions, a sound understanding and faithful communication of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and firmly held moral convictions rooted in Scripture. Each organization and individual’s message will be evaluated in light of Grace’s own commitments to sound doctrine, gospel clarity, and biblical morality.

Mission Alignment

Grace supports organizations and individuals whose mission centers on evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and leadership development in connection with these efforts. Grace also supports ministries of mercy when they intentionally include elements of discipleship and spiritual growth.

Ministry Effectiveness

Grace supports organizations and individuals that are effective in fulfilling their mission, demonstrate wise stewardship of their resources, maintain strong oversight, and remain faithful to their original purpose without drifting from it.

Member & Ministry Involvement

Grace supports organizations and individuals with whom our members are already involved or where there are clear opportunities for specific ministries of Grace Community Church to actively participate in the work facilitated by them.
