Elder Announcement – November 20, 2024

Dear Congregation,

After thirty years of service to Grace Community Church, Matthew Ladisa is resigning as an elder of our congregation.

Matthew and Patty joined Grace in 1993. They have both served Grace in numerous ways— teaching, caring for the needs of people, helping young couples in marriage, and being a constant encouragement by their love and support of others. They have been faithful church members and used by the Lord to strengthen our congregation. We have been blessed by them and we are deeply grateful to them.

In the days ahead, Matthew and Patty will be seeking a new congregation. Please pray for them to find a new church home to love and serve. We will miss them.

Below is a letter from Matthew and Patty.

Dear Congregation

It is with a heavy heart that we write this letter to inform you of our decision to leave Grace Community Church.

As an elder and founding members of Grace, we never thought the day would come, when we would even consider leaving Grace. But some time ago, we felt a stirring in our hearts, and we sensed the Lord leading us away from Grace Community Church. We continued to seek the Lord in prayer and in his word, and we sought the counsel of a few faithful believers.

A few weeks ago, what we had been sensing, was confirmed in our hearts; it was time for us to move on from Grace Community Church. It is hard to think about worshiping somewhere other than at Grace, but that is what we believe the Lord is calling us to do.

Grace Community Church will always be in our hearts and in our prayers.

Sincerely,

Matthew & Patty Ladisa
