Missions
The church is a living witness to the world of God’s grace in Jesus Christ. At Grace, we bear witness through our presence in the city, our practice of good deeds to others, our proclamation of the way of salvation, and our partnership in local and global missions.
Global Missions
The Great Commission Jesus gave to His followers is to go into all the world and make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). We believe that every Christian and every church can be a part of God’s disciple-making work around the world. Prayer, financial support, and participation in mission trips are practical ways we can partner with others in missions.
The ministry of Grace has expanded around the world. Each year, many of our people are involved in short-term mission trips. Others have become, or plan to become, longer term missionaries. Grace partners with the International Mission Board in Central and Eastern Europe. We participate in mission opportunities in places like Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, and South Asia. Through our annual missions offering we help support over 5000 mission personnel through the IMB, and many others through various organizations.
Each Fall, we give special attention to missions at Grace. During Grace Missions Emphasis, we hear from missionaries, study God’s missionary heart in Scripture, spotlight the upcoming Grace mission endeavors, and take pledges for our annual missions offering.

Local Missions
Jesus exhorted His first disciples to be His witnesses in Jerusalem first, then to the world. This was Jesus’ way fo saying “start at home.”
Grace is commited to taking the message of Jesus to the city of Nashville. In word and deed we hope to share God’s love. We partner with other ministries and agencies in Nashville through involvement and financial contribution (through the Grace Missions Fund).
Grace members are involved in ministries to the homeless, prisoners, refugees, women in crisis pregnancies, and others in need.
Personal Evangelism
Jesus said His followers are the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13-16). The apostle Paul said we are Christ’s ambassadors (II Corinthians 5:20). As individual Christians, we are called to live in this world faithful to Christ, with personal lives that reflect the love and character of Christ, and engaged in good deeds which open up a door for the gospel and bring glory to Christ.
At Grace, we emphasize the importance of each believer building relationships with people outside the church. It is in the context of families, neighborhoods, jobs, and schools that the gospel is lived and shared. We believe that the daily endeavors of Christians matter to God and to the furtherance of His Kingdom. We encourage every Grace member to look for ways to represent Christ in word and deed in every area of life.
