Getting Started

Read the questions and answers below for a more detailed explanation of Community Groups.

Why have Community Groups?
The mission of Grace Community Church is to build healthy people for ministry in the world. As we pursue this goal, we need opportunities to pursue growth in Jesus Christ through relationships with other Christians. Community Groups are intended to provide a context for this to happen. The purpose of Community Groups is mutual discipleship in the context of community.

What should I expect in a Community Group?
We pursue mutual discipleship in the context of community by doing certain things together. In Community Group we will seek to do the following:

- build the fellowship of the church
- deepen the application of the Bible to life
- provide a network of care within the church
- experience corporate prayer
- reach out to others through service, invitation, and a welcoming spirit

What will my children be doing while I attend Community Group?
